ONAP | Open Network Automation Platform
ONAP is an orchestration and automation framework, featuring an open-source software concept, that is robust, real-time, policy-driven, for physical and virtual network functions.
In case you are new to ONAP, read our in-depth post on this enormous project!
It allows network scaling and VNF/CNF implementations in a fully automated manner. Among other benefits, like:
-
- Bring agile deployment & best practices to the telecom world
- Add & deploy new features on a whim
- Improve network efficiency & sink costs
PANTHEON.tech is an active part of the community in ONAP and proud to support this project. Rely on our expertise – contact us today!
A PANTHEON.tech Initiative: ONAP CPS Performance Testing
We have recently introduced Performance Testing to the ONAP Configuration Persistence Service (CPS) component. Make sure to download the first-ever ONAP CPS Performance Testing Report!
Use Case: ONAP SDN-C & lighty.io
SDN-C is based on OpenDaylight. Our goal is to make it more efficient and suitable for micro-service deployments. An ideal situation for lighty.io!
We migrated SDN-C from OpenDaylight to lighty.io and built our own Docker image for it.
Thanks to a quick migration exercise, we have proven that even a complex application like SDN-C can be migrated to lighty.io in a short time and achieve measurable improvements. Click here to read more about the migration process!
